The Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Network (CYSDP) promotes the use of sport as a tool for achieving development objectives in youth development.
Its members, with a diversity of experiences and cultural backgrounds, aim to be: ‘The leading voice for youth in the Commonwealth towards promoting best practices in sport for development and peace in their respective societies—by targeting young people and policy makers.’

CYSDP encourages all stakeholders—governments, NGOs, intergovernmental bodies, and private organizations—to actively support the following:
Establish meaningful mechanisms for youth involvement in decision-making.
Create youth advisory committees, board positions, and participant feedback channels.
Engage in evidence-based research focused on youth within the SDP framework.
Use insights to shape effective policies and programs.
Deliver workshops and resources like the CYSDP Advocacy Toolkit.
