The Sports Goods Council (SGC) is being established to promote and develop entrepreneurship within the sports industry, with a focus on companies, startups, and innovations across Commonwealth countries and extended Commonwealth-friendly nations. The council aims to create a robust ecosystem to support and scale emerging businesses in this growing sector, addressing a range of objectives that align with entrepreneurship development, trade enhancement, and industry growth.
The SGC is conceptualized in alignment to the trust between the Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting held in Paris and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
